Adoption Process

Thank you for your interest in MainelyVee Maine Coons! I try to keep the adoption process simple, personal, and comfortable for everyone involved. My cats are a huge part of my life, so finding the right homes for my kittens truly matters to me.

If you’re interested in a current or future kitten, feel free to message me and introduce yourself. I enjoy getting to know future families, hearing about your home environment, lifestyle, other pets, and what you’re looking for in a Maine Coon companion.

I do require a FaceTime or video chat before moving forward with reservations. I’ve found this helps make the process more genuine and allows both sides to feel comfortable before committing to a kitten.

MainelyVee Maine Coons is a smaller cattery focused on quality over quantity. My focus is on raising healthy, affectionate, well-socialized Maine Coons while continuing to improve my program through education, health testing, and showing.

All kittens are raised directly in my home and receive daily attention, handling, and socialization from the beginning. I want my kittens to leave confident, loving, and well-adjusted.

Important Reservation Policy

I do NOT keep advance waitlists or unofficial reservation lists for future or unborn kittens.

I will only post kittens once they are officially available and ready for reservation. Reservations are handled on a first approved basis once kittens are publicly announced as available.

Pet pricing generally starts around $3,500+ depending on pedigree, color, structure, and overall quality. Our Maine Coon kittens are sold as pet only. Breeding rights are only offered on a limited basis to established catteries that share our ethics and practices at my direction of decision. My contract requires pet kittens to be spayed or neutered by 8 months of age. Once I receive a copy of the spay/neuter certificate from your veterinarian, TICA registration paperwork will then be completed and provided to the new owner.

If you are interested in reserving one of my kittens, please contact me directly. Once a kitten is selected and approved, I will email you the contract for your new kitten. The contract must be completed and returned along with the required reservation deposit to officially hold your kitten.

THE $500 DEPOSIT IS NON-REFUNDABLE

Please note that the $500 deposit is non-refundable, but it will be applied toward the total balance of your kitten.

Payment in full is due at pickup through cash, PayPal, or Zelle.

Before going home, kittens may include: Age-appropriate vaccines, Deworming, Veterinary wellness records, Microchip, TICA Registration paperwork where applicable CFA, Starter food, Toys and familiar comfort items

Kittens usually leave for their new homes around 12–14 weeks depending on their development and readiness.

Local pickup is always welcomed. Delivery options may also be available through flight nanny or ground transportation depending on location. Buyers are responsible for transportation-related costs including carrier, courier, airfare, or delivery arrangements if needed.

For the safety of my kittens, I do NOT ship through cargo services.

One thing that’s very important to me is staying connected with my kitten families after pickup day. I love updates, photos, and watching my kittens grow over the years.
